I started out my career as an insurance representative back in 1995. I have specialized in helping homeowners and commercial property owners maximize their insurance coverage.\u00a0 In addition, I\u2019ve spent a great deal of time negotiating commercial insurance for franchisors and their franchisees, and have helped thousands of people insure what is most important to them.<\/p>\n

In 2006, I started seeing a change in the insurance industry. Roof restoration used to be a client driven process. When a client had damage to the roof due to hailstorms, they filed a claim and it was handled between the client and the insurance company. Today all that has changed.<\/p>\n

Instead of dealing with the originating sources \u2013 the client and the insurance representative \u2013 roof damage is now handled by \u201cmiddlemen\u201d \u2013 the roofer and the adjuster.<\/p>\n

Roofers don\u2019t understand the intricate world of insurance adjusting \u2013 they shouldn\u2019t have to. Yet when they are providing financial data to the adjuster, which can have severe ramifications to your owner\u2019s policies and premiums, is that fair?<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n

I have helped adjust over 2,100 roofs over the past five years. I\u2019ve seen the good and the bad. I\u2019ve met reputable roofers and great insurance adjusters. And of course just as many that fall to the side of being \u201cshady\u201d.<\/p>\n
